Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

The Trust's Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) provides information, advice and support for patients, families and carers.

We can also help you sort out any concerns or queries you may have about the care the Trust provides and will guide you through the different services available from the NHS or other organisations. PALS also offers anonymity to anyone who wishes it.

We actively encourage the public to comment on the work that we do. PALS welcomes suggestions for improvement and can provide information on how you can get more involved in your own healthcare and the NHS locally.

Much of our work involves handling patient and family concerns through liaising with staff, managers and where appropriate, other relevant organisations. We endeavour to negotiate speedy solutions and help bring about changes to the way services are delivered. We will aim to resolve any concerns that you have about our services but if you are still dissatisfied and wish to make a formal complaint, we can advise on how to follow the correct procedure.

Due to their nature, some questions and concerns cannot be answered immediately. In these circumstances, we may need to take your contact details so that we can let you know the answer or what progress has been made.
