The Shaftesbury Clinic is a small forensic service by London standards, with a total of 73 beds. It is made up of:

  • two secure wards for men
  • one secure ward for women
  • an assessment, treatment and rehabilitation ward which is detached from the Shaftesbury building but provides the same level of secutiry
  • a community forensic service
  • a consultancy service providing liaison with adult mental health services within the Trust
  • a service providing external assessments to prisons and special hospitals
  • a specialist sexual behaviour service
  • mental health services to HMP Wandsworth.

The three forensic wards based in the Shaftesbury Clinic are: Halswell, Ruby and Turner.
