Who we are

We provide mental health and social care services to adults (18-75) of working age with severe and enduring mental health problems that cannot be treated within primary care.

What you can expect

People who use our services first get an assessment of their mental health needs and a plan of the care and support they will receive. They will also will also have one named person who co-ordinates their care and support. This person will be called either a named professional or, if your needs are more complex, a care co-ordinator. This person should be your main point of contact and you can speak to them about how your treatment and support are going.

Referrals

All referrals should be made to the Kinsgston & Richmond Assessment team base( Madison Centre) in office hours between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on 020 3513 1700.
Referrals will be classified by the referrer as:

  • Routine – All initial assessments should be offered an appointment within four weeks.Urgent – Referrals specifically designated as urgent will be seen within one week of receipt of the referral.
  • Emergency – Referrals that require assessment within 24 hours or assessments under the Mental Health Act. If a referral is received within office hours the person will be seen by the CMHT or in conjunction with the local Crisis and Home Treatment Team.
