Wandsworth CAMHS provides a comprehensive Tier 3 assessment and appropriate treatment Service for children and young people aged 0 - 18, their families and/or carers across the borough, focusing on those with severe and enduring mental health problems.

Wandsworth CAMHS consists of the following:

Learning Disabilities Team - Queen Mary's Hospital
CAMHS Tier 3 Service - located on 2 sites: Springfield and Queen Mary's Hospital

 The Learning Disabilities Team (020 8487 6311/6629/6049) is based in the Sandalwood Suite, which is located on the first floor of Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton, London SW15 and provides a comprehensive range of services for children and young people aged 0 - 18 who have emotional and behavioural problems with a moderate to severe learning disability.

The Wandsworth CAMHS - Queen Mary's Team (020 8487 6988) is also based in the Sandalwood Suite, located on the first floor of Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton, London SW15.

This team provide a range of services for children and young people aged 0 -18, their families and/or carers experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

The Wandsworth CAMHS - Springfield, based on the upper ground floor, Building 15, Springfield Hospital, Tooting, London SW17 7DJ. This team also provides a range of services for children and young people aged 0 - 18, their families and/or carers experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

he CAMHS Tier 3 provision (Queen Mary's and Springfield Hospital team) is for children and young people

Wandsworth Tier 3 CAMHS complies with Department of Health waiting time targets of 13 weeks from assessment to first assessment appointment; however, the service aims to see children and young people as quickly as possible.

How to get referred:

All referrals for the CAMHS Tier 3  provision (Queen Mary's and Springfield Hospital Teams only)

Schools - all referrals from schools must be made on an Electronic Common Assessment Framework (eCAF) and sent to gloria.renner-thomas@swlstg-tr.nhs.uk

Other Agencies - all referrals must be made in writing and sent to the following address:

Alternatively, you can fax your referral to the team on 020 3513 4620.

For ALL referrals, the Referral Panel requires the following information to help assess the appropriateness of the referral:

A detailed reason for the referral
Full name, status and contact details of the referrer
Full name of the child and of the parents/guardians/carers
Address, including full postcode and all contact telephone numbers
Date of Birth of the child referred
Ethnicity of the child referred
Name, address and telephone number of the child's GP (if not the referrer)
If interpreters/translators are required
School and education status
What interventions have already been attempted
What assistance is required from Tier 3 CAMHS

If this information is not provided, it will delay the processing of the referral and may lead to the referral being declined.

Additional information:
Wandsworth Tier 3 CAMHS is not an emergency service; referrals will be processed within standard protocols regardless of who is making the referral. If you have a child or young person who requires emergency assistance, then a referral should be made to the child's GP or the A&E Department at St George's Hospital in Tooting, London SW17.
