Staff Excellence Recognised at Awards Ceremony

High performing individuals and teams from across South London were honoured by their colleagues at the South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust 'Quality Awards' ceremony held at Wandsworth Civic Suite on 10 March.

Trust CEO Judy Wilson said:

"We recognise that staff are our greatest asset in delivering high quality services. Each of the awards is given in recognition of an outstanding contribution towards delivering quality to service users, their carers, family and friends."

As well as recognition for staff, volunteer Tracy Bennett, was presented with a volunteer award for her work as part of the Co-Creating Health team, helping people with long term mental health conditions to regain control, hope, confidence and self-esteem.

Two individuals were presented with lifetime achievement awards:

Dr Sandra Robertson, Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy- who has worked for the Trust for over 20 years and  Karen Tate, Team Manager, Sutton Older People's Intensive Home Treatment Team, who has also worked for the Trust for over 20 years.

Both individuals were considered to have demonstrated exceptional quality over their careers and inspired other colleagues to strive for quality at all times.
