Trust Nursing Development Team donates gifts to Richmond Charity

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust is proud to announce that our Nursing Development team - which was responsible for the successful Trust Comedy Night as part of October’s Mental Health Month has again showcased the incredible care and philanthropy of their team.

As winners of the SWLSTG staff event competition for Mental Health Month (which encoureaged staff participation in events across the Trust)  the team decided to donate their winnings to the local Richmond Charity ‘Christmas Day Richmond’ to provide magical gifts for young people who have just left the care system to have a scrumptious and magical Christmas Day Dinner.

The team gifted two kindle tablets from the Nursing Development Team and Deaf Services at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.

On 19 October, The Trust held the ‘Seriously Funny’ comedy event, where comedians with experiences of poor mental health performed to members of the public in Tooting – and raised almost £2500 for the Trust Charitable Funds. You can find out more about the event and who performed here.
