Springfield's grade two listed main building, built in 1840

Proposals for Springfield's regeneration

The Trust has developed planning proposals for the Springfield site, to provide new fit-for-purpose mental health facilities, make best use of the site, and deliver a range of community benefits.

Find out about the proposals to regenerate Springfield in our June 2010 brochure. Download it here or contact the regeneration team to request a hard copy. Please note that further changes have since been made to the proposals, in response to feedback: you can read about these on the outline planning application page.

Outline planning application

The trust's appeal against the refusal of it's application to regenerate the Springfield site was heard at a public inquiry in November 2011.

Full details of the inquiry are available at www.springfieldhospitalappeal.co.uk The Secretary of State's final decision on applications is expected by 20 June 2012.

Your feedback

We welcome all feedback on the proposals and are continuing to meet local people, Trust staff, service users, carers and others to discuss them in more detail.
