Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is committed to the fair and equal treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. (LGBT) men and women, as both a service provider and employer.

The development and continual expansion of an LGBT advisory group is working hard to promote and support individual services within the Trust to develop and champion best practice with regard to LGBT issues.

This is being addressed through production of information resources for all service users including staff, carers and clients, raising awareness and signposting for support in relation to LGBT issues.  Finally, the group aims to advise trust policy and practice in ways of eliminating LGBT discrimination and promoting equality.
