Service Line management

From Monday 3 April South West London and St George's Mental Health Trust will move into a new service line management (SLM) structure.

We have been working with other mental health trusts across the country for some time and believe the move to SLM will universally improve the quality of care our patients receive.

This new way of working will enable our clinicians to take the lead on service developments and drive improvements in patient care. Services will therefore be delivered in a consistent way which benefit our patients and help us to be more effective and efficient.

The principle objectives we aim to deliver through SLM are:

  • Leadership by clinicians: driving improvement to patient care
  • Quality-focused healthcare: delivering better services for every patient
  • Greater efficiency and productivity: guaranteeing good value for money
  • Devolved decision-making: judgements made by our best health professionals

Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)

Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) help young people who are experiencing mental health issues.

These services are provided in community locations as well as in our inpatient wards (Aquarius, Wisteria and Corner House) based at Springfield Hospital.

Cognition and Mental Health in Ageing

The Cognition and Mental Health in Ageing service line supports the care and treatment of older people and people with with cognitive impairments.
